Europe Part 14 - July 28 - August 5, 2015 The end of the around the world trip.

July 28, 2015 to August 5, 2015 - Left Great Britain on a ferry back to Calais, France.  Britain and France have serious border problems and it causes great backups and delays when travelling between the countries.  When we were scheduled to cross over, we knew that it would take longer to get to ferry terminal.  So we started out about 4 hours early to get to the terminal and we were only about 30 mile away.  It took 4 hours to get that 30 miles.  We barely got there on time, but found out that due to the problems our ferry was 1 1/2 hours delayed.  So it took all day to cross the English Channel.  Stayed in a nice hotel in Amiens, France for 2 days before heading into Paris to turn in our car and stay for 8 days before heading back to Arizona.

They had a special event that was called Paris Beaches.  They hauled in beach sand and put it along the Seine river for about a month this summer.  It looks like it is a big hit.
